Hi

Can someone tell me if S7-PLCSIM is included in PCS7 v8? Or do i have to download it separately?

I installed PCS7 v8 and while doing the exercise from the "Getting Started" manual, one should start up the plc simulator.
But on the Simatic manager (options>simulate module) "simulate module" is grey out.

Thanks in advance

Yes it is included on PCS7 V8.0 upward and downward.
The version is 5.4 with updates..and have nothing to do with TIA Portal PLCSIM V12, V13...
When install you have to choose option to install..

Thanks for your reply vakulina.

Is it still possible to install from the installation dvd?
or do you have to start over again? (uninstalling the whole PCS7 and install again)

Thanks in advance

Hi all,

I am just a beginner with PCS7.
Can someone help me with this?

After when i created a muli project i could see the library's in simatic manager in the "component view" and the "Process object view".
But after closing the project and opening it again i could not see them anymore.
Another thing also happens the top of the tree structure at the left pane in simatic manager (in this case fast_a_mp) is grey out .

Thanks in advance

Open Proj_MP project and not the project with that name.
Or open the most recent project in file-> open

Thanks Vakulina,

So i should open the multi project file instead of the project file ?

As i am going throught the getting started exercises i did not see any PLC code (ladder, stl or fb).

Don't you have to do any plc coding in PCS7 ?

Thanks

Well do not be so enthusiastic about that....
S7-PLCSIM and PCS7 v8 Re: S7-PLCSIM and PCS7 v8

The programming is a little bit more complex...
Because this is intended to use on large projects you have to create process tags in master Library and the use them in process..
Please read carefully the compediums for making an idea..
