I tried to connect EM277 with s7-1200 by Profibus.
I have gsd file to Step7 v11 sp2, I created project , I have in Step7 profibus network between S7-1200 and em277.
I created program , I can come to online , all my blocks are green.
But in network section on EM277 I see exclamation mark with message:
"No diagnostics data available because the current online configuration data differs from the ofline configuration data".
Profibus adress em277 is correct and speed. I set 8 word in and 8 word out.
I set input adress IW70.....85 and output adress QW70....85.
I want to get data from VW9064,66,68,70,72 to IW70,72,74,76,78 so I set V offset 9048. In watchtable I see only 0.
What's wrong?? |

There are some errors you've made in this program..
A)- First of all the rules for communication on PROFIBUS are very clear:
1. If you are using S7-1200-PROFIBUS CM 1243-5 board then you must use the DPRD_DAT and DPWR_DAT instructions for reading consistent data with a length of > 4 bytes from a slave or transfer consistent data to a slave.
2.The CM1243-5 can communicate with remote partners via PROFIBUS using S7 Communication so you have to use:
PUT: Instruction for writing data to a remote CPU or a remote PC
GET: Instruction for reading data from a remote CPU or a remote PC.
Remote communications partners can be S7-CPUs, PCs, PGs, TDs/OPs or SCADA systems, such as WinCC.
Once all are clear till here you cannot use FBs for MODBUS Communication on a PROFIBUS card.
B)- Possible DP slaves for the DP master CM 1243-5
With the DP master module CM 1243-5, the S7-1200 can communicate with the following DP-V0/V1 slaves:
Distributed I/O SIMATIC ET200
S7-1200 CPUs with CM 1242-5
S7-200 CPUs with PROFIBUS DP module EM 277
SINAMICS converter
Drives and actuators from various vendors
Sensors of various vendors
S7-300/400 CPU with PROFIBUS interface
S7-300/400 with PROFIBUS CP (for example CP 342-5)
SIMATIC PC stations with PROFIBUS CP
C)- However, if you want to use MODBUS Communication you need one of the following Point to Point (PtP) cards:
1. CM 1241 RS485
2. CM 1241 RS232
The S7-1200 CPU is limited to three communication modules.
D)- If you decide to use PtP for MODBUS then you have to proceed as in help files:
E)- As a general rule I strongly advice you to use the processor timing byte MBx.
With the help of the memories from this Byte you can build any timing you need for your program.

Thanks for useful remarks.
I have another question which is directly connected with modbus.
Suppose that I have good function modbus slave in TIA .My data is array[1,10] word.I have application in c++(Master Modbus)
1.Now, what should I send to slave when I want to get array[1],array[2],array[3],array[4],array[5] in master application??
2.When I receive frame where my data(array[1].....[5]) will be located?? |
