Hello
I want to know if rslogix 5000 20.01 emulate is compatible with rslogix 5000 20.00.
The emulate software is CPR9 SR5. The RSlogix 5000 software is CPR9 SR4.
When I try to go online with a controller I emulated using the emulate software, I get the error "unkown application framework subsystem error".
Help file says the software is incompatible. However, I can see the IO controller in RSWho, and everything else seems to work okay.
Has anyone gotten these 2 pieces of software working together? I want to be sure it's not a compatibility issue before I continue investigating the problem.

even better, if someone can tell me where to find rslogix 5000 CPR9 SR5, that would also solve this.
But rslogix 5000 is always just labelled as "20.00". |

Hi you,
I try connect RSLogix5000 V20 with RSEmulator v20.01 OK ,no problem ,
I online and download,upload and modify is Ok.
You remove and reinstall again .

really? that's good to know.
then it's not a compatibility issue, and something that I did myself.
Strange though, I have another laptop at work that has rsemulate 17.00 and rslogix 17.00 and i got it working on there just fine.
ill keep troubleshooting, thanks! |

did a clean install on windows xp sp3 thinking it might have been a compatibility issue.
still didn't work.
So I installed rslogix 5000 v19 and rslogix emulate v19 and it worked perfectly.
no idea how it worked for other people, but i'm happy it's working now. |

| Have the same problem. My error is "Failed to go online... Attribute value not settable". If anyone has any idea please suggest. Current versions for RSLinx, RSLogix, FTView are CPR 9 SR 4 and CPR 9 SR 5 for emulator. I downloaded all software from this site. |

yep. same error I was getting.
v19 emulate with v19 rslogix 5000 worked just fine, but it won't work in Windows 7 x64 :(.
I'm wondering if you need to upgrade rslogix 5000 to v20.01. |

Same here
RSLogix V20.00 (CPR 9 S4) doesn't work with RSLogix Emulate v20.01 /CPR 9 SR5).
It says : Attribute value not settable.
Did anybody suceeded and how? |

Did you install RSLogix and RS Linx correctly?
I got this message once when I started installation of RSLogix v20.01 without RSLinx in the package. The installation of RSL5k asked for a file from the RSLinx and I pressed "SKIP". After the installation of RSL5k Iinstalled RSLinx and Softlogix. Everything worked fine, but when I try to go online with controller I get "attribute value not settable" error.
You should try to install RSL5k, and when it asks for the RSLinx file, point the way to the ile in the RSLinx directory. |
