This application example uses a circuit example to show how safety functions can be implemented with the ET 200SP. In particular, the application area with a 3SE64 RFID safety switch with guard locking and the corresponding parameterization are shown here.
This application example shows which connection options are available for guard door monitoring with guard locking on the ET 200SP and how these can be wired and configured and programmed in the TIA Portal. The architecture of the safety function and the achievable safety level are also discussed.
