The aim of simulation in automation technology is to reproduce a machine, cell or plant as realistically as possible.
For this purpose, an equivalent must exist in the virtual world for each component involved in the real world.

A real controller can be mapped with PLCSIM Advanced, the virtual S7-1500 controller, and a real HMI with the HMI simulation in the virtual world.
The SIMIT Simulation Platform provides an extensive library of behavior models to integrate the most realistic sensor and actuator behavior possible in the virtual world.
The virtual 3D image of a real machine can be created with the aid of the NX Mechatronics Concept Designer (NX MCD).

The SIMIT behavior library already contains some standard components, such as drives and valves. This library is continuously expanded and with each new release of SIMIT, newly developed simulation modules are integrated.

The additional components in this library require a license of the CONTEC library and extend the existing RFID behavioral models in SIMIT. The simulation blocks simulate the behavior of the corresponding identification systems.
The use of the blocks yields the following advantages:
Simulation of identification behavior based on detailed RFID models.
Increasing the accuracy and thus the benefit of the simulation model.
Possibility of virtual commissioning of a machine, line or plant.
Training of personnel (operator training) on a realistic machine, line or plant.
