| @9haj Thanks for the link! Unfortunately I cannot access Kanxue without registration. Do you have the files (SentinelRMSToolkitv2.2-fixed.rar) and could you share them via PM or upload somewhere? I also found it on 52pojie.cn but same issue - needs login. Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Quick update: I made some progress analyzing how Visual Components licensing works in KUKA.Sim 4.10.
Here is what I found so far:
- The ProductFeatures are AES-256-CBC encrypted (not standard Sentinel RMS)
- The feature format is: FeatureName$Version=Count!Hash separated by #
- The lservrc codes use compus [LockCode]:Base64EncryptedData
- RMSToolkit v2.2 lsdecode cannot decode them (too new, 2025 format)
I wrote a small Python CLI tool to manage the license XML. If anyone is interested I can share it.
Still looking for the correct Vendor ID for Visual Components. If anyone has it (jarmster?), please let me know!
Thanks to 9haj for the Kanxue link. |

If I understood correctly, we will have a medicine for Visual Components 4.10 soon, right?

Hey, appreciate the interest. Tbh the process is pretty tricky - chipping away at it when I have time outside my day job as an automation engineer.
Got the VID 0x4853 confirmed, pulled the AES key from the DLL. Decoder tools work for old-format licenses but the main headache is LicenseModule.dll - that mixed C++/CLI crap you can't just hex edit on disk. Wlscgen is 32-bit and faceplants hard on Win11.
If anyone's got a 64-bit undongled Wlscgen or Sentinel RMS SDK 9.x gathering dust somewhere - that would be massive. Also taking a crack at RobotStudio 2016.2 next, that one has seriously nasty protection. Happy to collab if anyone wants to swap ideas or tools.
Cheers,

paste the key into a file called lservrc.dat and place it in
C:\ProgramData\Visual Components\Visual Components License Server 2.0
have the license server installed and running.
type ipconfig /all in a cmd prompt window
copy the ip from Autoconfiguration IPv4 Address. . : XXX.XXX.XXX.XX(Preferred)
When you start VC, an activation window appears. choose network license option and paste in the ip ....thats it
good luck with Robotstudio. Thats a brand new licensing scheme. We just renewed ours and they dont do standalone anymore. Its all cloud based. I had to create a new kind of ABB account and then ABB had to link it to our company key on the cloud. Then i needed to log into the account through robotstudio to access the license. Nice thing is it's not tied to a singular pc anymore. I can log in and use Robotstudio and the key from any PC.
The 2025.2 hack works still the last time i tried it. I'd just use that version if i needed to. They dropped the old awpp from compatibility with rs2026. Your stuck using the new awpp2 if you use 2026
Technorob ...This is the layout for the template in wlscgen. You dont need to use any of the security features when generating a key that you may have seen in a decrypted store bought key. no locking crit or secrets needed. just copy the template for a simple license that never expires and works on any pc.
I was unable to create a VC 4.3 license although you see a template for it in the pic. That was just me trying a couple things.
Oh and use decode_recode 4.0.exe to decrypt your keys. Its better then lsdecode as it outputs the proper vid format for branding wlscgen. It has a much better output plus its windows app. if you cant find let me know.
When i was researching the license generation, i found alot of info and tools at https://forum.finetopix.com/ in the emulator tools subforum...if you hadn't found it yet..
Im using win11 on my work laptop... ill try wlscgen on it tomorrow. im using it on 64bit window 10 atm.
and Fortamecus....4.1 not 4.10 lol although im starting to wonder what hes working on as i read through some of these threads, lol. There may be a misunderstanding to which version he's trying to generate key for....might be my bad.lol
although the Sentinel RMS toolkit v2.2 by synkro is well over a decade old. I dont believe any of these tools will generate keys for any newer versions of these OLP softwares. From what i understand wlscgen wasn't included in the sdk after RMS 8.6. and apparently all licenses are signed with rsa1024. I know a russian site that sells keys still for newer versions but i have no idea how they do it.
