|
|
Hello all,
I often have to tune PID controllers by feeling. I get a system for a short time, and have to initial tune a PID controller. A more thorough tuning with programs is done afterwards. But the basic tuning is done by me.
Is there a simple training program for initial PID tuning by try and error? Means, a program giving different systems and the task is to find a good initial tuning for a PID controller. So one can train tuning by gut feeling. |

PID tunning is a highly mathematica subject, which studies dynamical systems, as you may know. The most simple method I know is ziegler-nichols method, which you can find on internet and control engineering books.
Beware, as some systems can become "unstable" while doing PID tunning, this means, the system can start to oscilate wildly with some PID parameters. |
