I had the same problem with ProficyME 9.5 on my VM, but I got it licensed eventually.
The steps I took:
1. Uninstalled Proficy ME 9.5.
2. Installed an old version of ME, which doesn't check virtualization (I used Cimplicity ME 4.00)
3. Entered license key to activate CME4.00 (QD37AUTH.EXE)
4. Uninstalled activated CME4.00 (licence did not get removed)
5. Installed Proficy ME 9.5
6. Started Proficy ME 9.5 application, which found and used the old CME4.00 license for activation.
7. Installed latest SIM.
8. Started working on a project 
! It only works for versions with the old GE licensing mechanism. Versions 9.80 and later have a new Emerson licensing mechanism !  |
