Our client is a leading Engineering firm. Their core business is the stil of Process Controls, DCS, & PLC, Industrial Automation Systems, Supervisory Control and DATA Acquisition (SCADA) Systems, Critical Control Systems for High Integrity Safety Applications (ESD, Fire & Gas), and instrumentation. They are urgently seeking to recruit a Production Manager to be located within Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Min. experience: 8+ Years hands on experience within the Switchgear Industry. (Electrical)
Min. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree within Electrical/Electronics OR Instrumentation Engineering
Background: Switchgear, Electrical, Energy, Oil/Gas Hardware, Automation, Safety Control

• Management of the production activities from the esteticÄƒ to the final product. Assigning the work to the production supervisors and technicians whilst monitoring progress.
• Monitoring and maintenance of efficient production output. Following up on production activities. Reviewing drawings issued for production, selecting the cabinet accessories and estimate as per the approved drawings. Preparing the BOM and technical specifications for the procurement department.
• Overall management and coordination with the drawing office department. Prepare purchase requisition for any production consumables. Manage the external manpower supply and their timesheets whilst liaising with the Manpower & Recruitment companies.
• Studying, estimating and planning the production schedule. Ensuring the panel assembly and the construction is as per our clients and projects quality standards. Ensuring the required test procedures are followed as per the project test procedures and test records are maintained.
• Guarantee the HSE training is provided to the new technicians. Ensuring that all personnel within the production department are following all required HSE safety measures and standards as per our clients health and safety system.

Desired & Essential Criteria

• Minimum of 8 years working experience within switchgear electrical systems. Knowledge of the IEC, BS and other international standards. Candidates must be skilled in reading P&I Diagrams and Dispozitiv cause & effects diagrams. Technical knowledge of Electrical Hardware and design of various control and safety systems. (Ie; Yokogawa, GE Fanuc, HIMA and Siemens systems)

• Knowledge of Hazardous Area classifications. Ability to read the electrical drawings and execute the work accordingly whilst having the skill to plan the production schedules.

• Candidates must have excellent knowledge of PLC, DCS, and Instrumentation and Electrical Switchgear systems. Experience in control and safety systems production, production management and leadership. Familiarity with HSE and related safety procedures.
