Read carefully

https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/pd/90312?pdti=td&pnid=14730&lc=en-WW

How do you backup/restore with a Windows-based panel?
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/28928853/

How do you back transfer the projects of an operator panel and what should you watch out for?
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/21907703/
https://cache.industry.siemens.com/dl/files/868/21847868/att_862439/v2/21847868_hmi_panels_slots_en.pdf
https://cache.industry.siemens.com/dl/files/703/21907703/att_75459/v1/21907703_back_transfer_description_e.pdf

Uploading only possible, if the Transfer of the current project file from the configuration computer to the operating unit must be performed using the Upload option "Enable backtransfer"

If have misunderstandings put on here...

Find password of the project with one of these tools
FlexPwl1.rar - 130 KB
PWLAnalyzer.rar - 644 KB

or make a new project with new user and password then copy the PData from new project to your project in OP panel and you'll have have new user with new password

you have a step by step procedure for this method?
the panel is OP177B color PN/DP
can i use the wincc flexible 2008 for this type of panel?

YOUR IMMEDIATE RESPONSE IS HIGHLY APPRECIATED

Why do not use this below procedure as long as you have the project..

How do you do an "Operating system update" (OS update) or "Reset to factory settings" on operator panels?
Even if the OS is the same make an overwrite
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/19701610/how-do-you-do-an-operating-system-update
Read this
https://cache.industry.siemens.com/dl/files/610/19701610/att_75320/v1/19701610_wincc_flexible_e.pdf

Of course OP177B color PN/DP is in WinCC Flexible SP3 has this.

Problem how to Connect PG/PC to HMI Operators panel. Re: Problem how to Connect PG/PC to HMI Operators panel.

Well I saw atto put method..I do not know if works but it's possible...
The other method as I said is as follows:
1 Upload complete backup from the OP using Prosave.
2 Realizate a new project using WinCC flexible with the new user adminstration settings and with empty screens. and download it on the OP.
3 Use prosave again to make a backup image for "User Management"
4 You can select "User Management" in backup mask of the prosave program.
5 Then download again the orignal image you have uploaded in the first step.
6 Then download the backup image of "user management" on the OP.
Now you have the same software with the new administration settings.

Hi ntron,

I already made the autentic restoration of the project to reset the password, the problem before was the file backup is .psb, and i cannot edit the project.

Last question:
how to backup the HMI project, which the output file is .hmi, not the .psb file.
