Hi, I am looking for how to make the configuration for powerflex 753 to get speed reference from DCS and then to send the frequency speed to DCS!

We are moving from powerflex 700 to powerflex 753 VSD.

The Speed reference on this drive powerflex 700 is controled via yokogawa DCS centum VP R6 using profibus network.

I got the GSD file and I done the configuration using the first modulo (crtl/stat & Ref/Fdbk (8+8 byte)) were at list the VSD 753 can communicate with the DCS but I am looking how to identify the byte for reference and byte for feedback in this modulo.

On the drive side acording to the modulo that I selected its look like there is not much to do tjhan to set the speed reference on parameter 545.

If any body have working with this type of drive and DCS centum VP please can help!!

Hi thanks for you replay.

Yes I am using 20-750-PBUS only I do not understand is the byte switch position. Where did I look for the position for byte switch?

Like I said is the first time working with this drive for communication with DCS. Only I know to use as simple setup and analog speed reference and feedback.

If is possible I can send some picture obout the DCS Configuration.

regards

Hi the byte swap switch are in position 1 so in that case the node address was setting via HIM.

The profibus card as status is ok the drive is communicating with the DCS.

Or What set must be done in the drive do avoid the speed reference and feedback using profibus?

View Peripheral Diagnostic Items in this case.

Byte swap in pos 1 means the Big Endian code is used for the 4 bytes sent from the DCS for Ref. Value.

Hi thanks again for the instruction I will attach some picture about the setup I did.
I did try the big indian and little but the result is not good.
If I increase the speed from DCS the VSD is jump from minimal to maximum is not increase gradually.

I am going to post some picture have appreciate that and you can give me some idea about this setup from drive side and DCS.

On the drive side I got the picture for 545, 874, 930 and 2 parameters.
On the DCS side I got the picture for I/O modulo in the profibus network configuration and communication I/O builder.

Using this configuration if I increase the speed from DCS to DRIVE the drive is jump from minimum to maximum.

20-750-PBUS option modulo
