With a worldwide reputation for designing and manufacturing some of the food industry’s most reliable and cost effect process equipment, this innovative company has delivered single machine projects through to complete turnkey solutions for many of the major food & drink manufacturers. In line with the company’s expansion plans and to fulfil order requirements, they are now looking to appoint a driven PLC Software Engineer on a permanent basis.

Working along side other Control Engineers and coordinating with the Senior Projects team, the appointed PLC Software Engineer will assist in the design of new control panels that can operate under a wide arrange of environments, write software that will meet automation demands, test software code and develop supporting documentation that will be provided to clients upon project completion. The PLC Software Engineer will also be heavily involved in the commissioning and system start-up’s, so on occasion, they will be required to visit manufacturing sites throughout the UK and overseas.

Because the company are willing to offer further development and training, suitable applicants will either be newly graduates with relevant hands-on internship/work placement or experienced software/control engineers with a wealth of knowledge designing and commission control systems within the Food/FMCG sector. However, it is essential that candidates must hold recognised qualifications in Electrical/Electronic Engineering and have completed a software engineering course.

Remuneration: Between £20,000pa to £40,000pa, depending on level of experience.
