Hello Friends,

When you try to install the "PL7-1 V3" software from the link above with the install.exe. It gives message:
Fatal Error 251
Your Telemecanique system is incomplete.
Ensure that User Interface is correctly installed.

You are missing the User Interface software. This is a seperate software you must install first.

I found I am able to install this with Windows 98 Virtual Machine. I connect to PLC and have control. I can post a link for the User Interface software if someone is interested.

The reference number for the programming cable is TSX17ACCPC. This ref. is no more commercialized as TSX17 range is an obsolete range & no longer available,

So Kindly find this alternative solution attached in the PDF below ( Pin out + Converter ref. XGSZ24 as the programming port of the TSX 17 PLCs is RS485 link so RS232/485 converter is needed.)

Will TSX17 DOS based software run on WinXP?
No. TSX 17 software must be run under DOS or a Windows environment lower than Win 98.

For PLC range TSX17 , Can I make a backup of the software?
For the TSX17-10, the software is named PL7-1 and the part number is TSXLPL71V5E.
You will also need a programming cable, part number TSX17ACCPC.

For the TSX17-20, the software is named PL7-2 and the part number is TSXLPL72V5E.
You will also need a programming cable, part number TSX17ACCPC.

If both units will be encountered by the programmer, there is a package that will do both
versions of the TSX17. The part number is TSXLPL712V5E.
You will also need a programming cable, part number TSX17ACCPC.

Note:
These packages are DOS based and are not supported under Windows 2000 and Windows XP.
You must not run these programs on Computer CPUs that are faster than 500 Mhz.

I was able to install the User Interface and PL7-1 and PL7-2 on a Win98 Virtual Machine with the host PC CPU is 2.5 GHz.

The PL7-1 Software has a hard time starting. If you keep clicking ENTER, between 5 and 20 tries, the software will open. I was able to communicate to a TSX 17-10 using the TSX17ACCPC cable. I have not tried an alternative home-made solution. I was able to restore Program from EEPROM module.

I am trying to put this virtual machine together for all the legacy Telemechanique software.

Hello, thx for your answer but it's not a driver problem.. When i configure my tsxety120 and i go on its configuration sheet, i got a message that i need some externals softwares. I found some datasheets on this module. I saw that i need something called ConfigPl7 or/and something called ACE configurator with schneider libraries.

I connect the tsxcusb 485 adapter to the pc with windows xp, but it doesn't install the cable, but installs it as usb serial port.... I already installed the pL7 pro, but the cable doesn't appear in the list of unitelway drivers. Can someone help me via ANY DESK?
