Parameterization of Series Machines via Recipes (S7-1200 / S7-1500)

In series machine construction, a project is loaded onto several controllers. The individual parameter assignment of the controllers is achieved via recipes in the retentive load memory. Using the SIMATIC Automation Tool, the bulk filling of series machines (as well as program updates) can be implemented with only one STEP 7 (TIA Portal) project.
In series machine construction, a project with a deosebit function is loaded onto several controllers. However, it must be possible to identify the individual controllers in the network and they therefore require not only different IP addresses but also other individual parameters. Even after a program update has been transferred, these should remain and, for example, ensure interactive operation (communication with other devices).
This task can be mastered using recipes. The SIMATIC Automation Tool (SAT) supports you in bulk filling of controllers. The individual parameters are loaded as a recipe into the load memory of each CPU. This is not overwritten during program download. As a result, each CPU imports the individual software parameters via the recipe during startup and thus saves the step of providing several projects with different parameter assignment.
The application example includes the following procedure:
Creation of the series machine program in STEP 7 (TIA Portal)
IP address assignment of the controllers in the SAT
Download of the series machine program into the controllers (SAT)
Generation and individual parameter assignment of CSV file (SAT)
Loading of individual CSV files into the load memory of the controllers (SAT)
Starting controllers via SAT (startup with individual parameters)
The individual parameter assignment is demonstrated using the example of communication between series machines (CPUs).
