Hello all. I'm new here and have found this forum really informative and useful. Thanks!
I have a PanelView1000 with a CF memory card. The file on the card is a .PVA application for the PanelView.
I can open the file in a Hex Editor program and see the text labels of the alarm banners. I need to edit these text labels. When I change anything in the .PVA file, the PanelView rejects the program.
I am sure there is a checksum or CRC in the file. Has anyone successfully hex-edited and recalculated the chechsum in one of these files?
Unfortunately I don't have access to the correct PanelBuilder program to do this the easy way.  My Internet is too slow to receive any large program installations, too.
