OPC UA PubSub is not based on the client-server principle as in conventional OPC UA communication, but instead uses the "Publish/subscribe principle". This entry shows you the implementation of OPC UA PubSub using JSON encoding for controllers of the type SIMATIC S7-1500.
The following scenarios arise when using OPC UA PubSub:
Configurable peer-to-peer communication between controller and PLC or HMIs: The stations are not directly connected with each other and a configuration in order to make the stations known to each other is not necessary. This application example shows you how to use the blocks of the library. Basically, any other communication partner that supports
OPC UA PubSub via MQTT/JSON can be used.
