|
|
Hi,
I'm using CP1HXA and connected 4 encoders (up-down input and software reset in settings) to the the 4 high-speed counter inputs.
0.04 - 0.05 - HSC 2 - Encoder 3
0.06 - 0.07 - HSC 1 - Encoder 2
0.08 - 0.09 - HSC 0 - Encoder 1
0.10 - 0.11 - HSC 3 - Encoder 4
(P_On to PRV 10hex 0hex D128)
(P_On to PRV 11hex 0hex D228)
(P_On to PRV 12hex 0hex D328)
(P_On to PRV 13hex 0hex D428)
HSC 0 to 2 are working but the HSC 3 is not.
Troubleshooting:
1. Disconnect all encoders and transfer connection of Encoder 4 from HSC 3 to HSC 0 to 2. The PRV response is OK, thus, Encoder 4 is good.
2. Re-connect the Encoder 4 to HSC 3, and test, still encountering no response in the PRV instruction. Try to disconnect decrement input (0.11), the PRV responded OK. Try to disconnect increment input (0.10) and re-connect decrement input (0.11), PRV responsed OK.
3. Re-connect both inc dec inputs, PRV is not working. Try item 1, and PRV responded OK.
4.Replace the PLC unit, and repeat all setup and program, but still encountering the same error.
5. The input common is 12VDC, tried to replace it by 24VDC but still the same error.
Encoder is 5-28 VDC supply, NPN, open-collector with internal pull-up resistor (ACCU-CODER 715-1)
Why HSC 3 is not working? problem with the PLC version? i'm using v1.3 CP1H XA40DT-D, newly purchased. |

What Counting Modes do you use?
Linear Mode
Circular (Ring) Mode
Do you use Software reset
The counter is reset when the Reset Bit goes ON then put OFF
(Set the counter reset method in the PLC Setup.)
When a counter's Gate Bit is ON, the counter's
PV will not be changed even if pulse inputs are
received for the counter. |
