The application example shows the implementation of an exemplary machine based on OMAC PackML. OMAC PackML provides a structured form of the application according to S88 with units, equipment and control modules. The structure is based on a state machine according to PackML. The external interface is defined by defined variables, which are referred to as PackTags.
The application example can also be used to verify the communication and evaluation of PackTags by higher-level systems. This can be used, for example, for an endurance test of SCADA or cloud-based systems with the evaluation of various state changes.

A PLC program for TIA Portal with an OMAC PackML compliant interface
An OMAC machine simulation which simulates realistic machine values
A machine HMI including visualization of different functionalities like OMAC mode and state model and Energy Efficiency Monitor (EEm)
Configuration of state transfers and dwell time within the states
