Hello everyone!
I'm currently working on a project using Allen Bradley ControlLogix that controls a compressor, we want to add some valves to the program and its HMI.
The problem is that, when looking for the HMI, we only found a .MER file, we couldn't open it with RSview.. it could be opened using FactoryTalk View SE, but only for visualizing not for editing.
The question is, could we actually edit the .MER file in order to add something? or is it only for visualizing?
Alternatively, we're thinking about creating a new HMI, but which will not incule all the details of the autentic one.. because our biggest problem right now is that we're running out of time..
(Just to mention, I'm new to AB and RsLogix5000)
Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you |

| .MER file is Rockwell panel view run time application. You can use "application manager for machine edition" to restore and edit the run time application. |

Thank you for your reply!
I tried to use the application manager as you said but unfortunately I got the following message: "This runtime application file was saved in an older format that does not support conversion to a development application."
So I guess there's no chance to restore it..
Thank you again I appreciate your help. |
