Greetings,
We have a project for POWER DISTRIBUTION (SWITCH GEAR, TR, GENERATOR) and we have to use SIEMENS S7-400H system with RIO and redundant servers as well as IEC61850 interface with IEDs.
The proposed network shall be dual redundant ring.
So please propose the proper solution from SIEMENS as high level stil with mentioning the used products.
I will be appreciated if you can add supported documents or drawings.

Many thanks for your support, but I need the solution components especially the field communication dual redundant ring with RIO, so is there any option to use profinet in dual redundant ring. |

You do not give more data about what type of Field Devices do you use.
From Top to Bottom PROFINET redundancy can be used till the ET200x Distributed I/O.
On the Field Instrumentation you have to use PROFIBUS, DP/PA, etc redundancy.
Give more details for a documented answer. |

This is what we supposed to use for the RIO , but we have also HMI in each panel, and the customer need a ETH. switch in each panel, so we will make one loop for the RIO using the OLM and another for switched this is the first suggestion. I am looking for another solution based on ethernet same like Profinet I found one using SIMATIC ET 200SP HA to support dual ring network too same as OLM which provide PROFIBUS. |
