|
|
Hi,
I'm working in a project where I need to modifiy (not heavy modifications, but...) an old existing FANUC robot, M-410iB/160 with a R-J3iB controller.
The problem is that, although I have a backup (*.TP, *.DT, *.SV, ...), I can't open it with my oldest ROBOGUIDE version (6.40).
When I try to "Create a Robot from a file backup" in a new cell, the error showed is:
| Code: | | The file backup requires version V6.10 which is not supported. |
The BACKDATE.DT file shows this information:
| Code: | Version: V6.10P/70 09/26/2003
1A05B-2400-H510
1A05B-2400-H521
1A05B-2400-H542
1A05B-2400-H791
1A05B-2400-H930
1A05B-2400-J618
1A05B-2400-J751

Can someone help me out? Maybe upload an older version of ROBOGUIDE?
Thanks in advance. |

Never saw this controller version in Roboguide, even in older versions.
But You can try do it two ways.
1) go to backdate.dt file and change V6.10/70 to the correspondent version You have on Your Roboguide. You maybe will get some errors, but I think RG will produse the cell.
2) You can build a new cell with 6.40 software, and upload just the programs and some system files on it. |

You can try to find Fanuc WinOLPC or OLPCPro (maybe someone here have it).
With that program you can edit TP files in a aparte editor (binary TP editor) and i guess also some systema and confic files.
For more info search for WinOPLC and OLPCPro
I remember in old times to see some peoppleusing it (with controller versions less than 6.40) |

About 1), I have tried it before, but had some tools errors...
2), I will try next week. What do you think is better to do, via FTP, PCMCIA, ...? What is the best way to do it, in sense of get the most "complete" backup, not only programs?
Thanks! |

the întocmai name of the tool you need to find is WinTPE Editor. Im dont know if the tool is included in OlpcPRO or WinOLPC.

| Thanks, I've requested it on the software forum. It's very difficult to find old Fanuc software. |

What is the exactly version of Your Roboguide?
Some versions came with 6.22 controller. Is way closer to 6.10 than 6.40. Maybe You can give this a try. |

I have tried V6.31, but the oldest version included into is v6.22.
And in v6.31 I can't create a cell from an upload (I can in V6.40), or maybe I don't know where is this option.
Any other suggestions? Thanks! |

I've used WinOlpc in the past, but it didn't work very well with R-J3iB backups. And OlpcPro is bundle with Roboguide.
6.10, 6.22, 6.31 and 6.40 software are from R-J3iB controller generation.
Anyway, I remember there is a huge difference between the first and the last versions. The last versions (6.40, if I recall) support iPendants and I think You would stumble on compatibility issues.
If You don't mind sharing Your backup, I can try to perform some tests here. |
