How do you move the window of the VBS editor in WinCC V7 into a visible area?
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109778233/
When editing events (such as mouse clicks) that are executed by VBScript actions, an editor window is opened. The position and size of this window can be adjusted via the Windows Registry.
Problem
For example, due to Windows updates or the use of different monitors, it can happen that the VBS editor is moved to a non-visible area for the configuration of VBS actions. Because this window cannot be closed, further editing is no longer possible and you have to close the Graphics Designer via the Task Manager. In the following we explain how to change the position and size of the window using the Windows Registry.
Solution
You can change the position and size of the window in the Windows Registry.
Proceed as follows to change the Registry entry:
Close WinCC Runtime.
Open the Run dialog of the operating system via the key combination <Win> +<R>.
Enter "regedit".
Confirm the dialog with the "OK" button.
Confirm with the "Yes" button any User Access Control dialog that opens.
In the Registry editor you navigate to: "Computer > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Siemens > WinCC > Script > vbsEditorControl > Position"
Right-click "PosX" and select "Change...".
Change the value to 0.
Right-click "PosY" and select "Change...".
Change the value to 0.
In the Registry editor you navigate to: "Computer > HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Siemens > WinCC > Script > vbsEditorControl > Size"
Right-click "Height" and select "Change...".
Change the value to 500.
Right-click "Width" and select "Change...".
Change the value to 500.
Important
This entry contains information about editing the Registry. You should make a backup copy of the Registry before editing it. Further information about making a backup copy, restoring and editing the Registry is available in the Microsoft Knowledge Base in
https://support.microsoft.com/sq-al/help/256986/windows-registry-information-for-advanced-users
Incorrect use of the Registry editor can cause serious problems that affect the complete system and make it necessary to reinstall the operating system. You use the Registry editor at your own risk. |
