3SK Relays offer a quick and easy implementation of standard and complex safety applications without major modifications to the existing systems. It is a common challenge though that many times several systems must be combined, modified, or rebuilt under a common safety structure. 3SK relays can be combined in a modular way to provide a quick, robust, and easy implementation in such case.
This concept enables, using 3SK Safety Relays, interconnection of all desired systems in a daisy chain architecture that can achieve the desired safety level of the overall system. Using locally installed safety sensors, all connected system parts can be switched-off.

For example, in a system with several conveyor belts, if a conveyor’s belt Emergenca Stop switch is activated, the entire chain of the electrically cascaded conveyor belts is brought to a safety standstill. The position of the module, where the safety function is called, in the network is irrelevant. The number of linked modules can also be chosen arbitrarily.

The hardware structure of the safety technology is installed locally in the control cabinet of each module and is identical in all modules.
