System requirements for the test version
At least 265 Mb free space disk
Microsoft Windows XP (32 Bit) Home or Professional
Windows 7 (32 / 64 Bit) Home or Home Professional or Ultimate
A PC that meets these requirements
Monitor resolution 1024x768 pixels with small font size
A mouse supported by Microsoft Windows
Additional hardware from one of the following:
- 1 PC/PPI cable connected to the RS-232 interface (PC COM1 or COM2)
- 1 PC/PPI cable connected to the USB interface
- 1 communications processor card (CP) and Multipoint interface cable (MPI)
- 1 Multipoint interface card (MPI) (the communications cable is included)
- 1 PC Ethernet connection with the S7-200 CP243-1 or CP243-1 IT module

I wrote to SIEMENS to send me a demo/trial for STEP 7-Micro/WIN test version 4.0 E for Win7 as in link:

As I see now the link is not working and they've told me to wait....
So the STEP 7-Micro/WIN test version 4.0 E is not ready yet... |

To correctly install-uninstall S7-200 PC Access the older version and remove from the registry branch HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Siemens \ SIMATIC \ OPC

step 1: uninstall previous version
step 2: you copy folder "STEP 7-MicroWIN V4.0" (you just download) to "C:\Program Files\Siemens"
step 3: run setup.exe file
step 4: when setup wizard tell you uninstall previous version, you just deletes microwin.exe file
in folder "C:\Program Files\Siemens\STEP 7-MicroWIN V4.0\bin"
step 5: click next button and install normally
