Hope that everybody doing well,
I am going to install one Micrologix 1400 controller 'Cat n:1766-L32BXBA' and a panel view plus 6 - 700 HMI 'Cat n: 2711P-T7C4D8) for diesel generator
For the Micrologix I am using the RSLogix 500 8.40.00 (CPR9) version and for the HMI I am using the factory talk view studio ME 6.00 (CPR9 SR 3),

I have some questions about those hardware and I appreciate your advices and recommendations before going ahead to purchase and Install the equipments

- Did you recommend me to use those software's revisions or not, (for e.g. on the RS logix 500 I/O advanced configuration, the embedded input filter edit is not enabled)?
- The Micrologix 1400 support the diesel engine speed calculation using a pickup speed sensor in the input 0, or I have to adopt another technology of speed sensor such as proximity switch?
- If I use the phisical input I:0/0 for engine pickup speed sensor and change the Input 0 + 1 filter for e.g. 2ms, can I use Input I:0/1 for natural digital input signal or no or I have to skip it?
- Do you have any typical HSC config doc for engine speed monitoring?
