Anybody got any idea regarding of erasing flash / ran memory ?
I have GTO4310 with me which according to their website has to have firmware / runtime 6.2 SP4.
But it was downgraded by client to 6.1.5 and now it doesn't boot up. It hangs.
Advice from service is only replace for new but there must be some hardware method to completely clean off the panel !!

Pull out the SD Card and format the SD card on your computer using FAT or FAT32.
Then from VjD reload the project in SD Card ...
in the Target Download property select "File System".
The Path property will be the drive letter of your SD card in your PC.
Right click on Target and choose "Download to file system"
Once complete insert the SD card in the HMIGTO SD card slot and power up.
The new application will be loaded from the SD card.
Or just overwrite the project if the SD Card if it is not damaged.. |

The described method already failed.
Basically the older runtime was loaded by this method. An now the panel is "bricked". The error on the 1st pic is being displayed.
It hangs after starting runtime, displaying "downloading at.."
See the pics below:

When I do your method I get the error like the 1st pic and panel hangs.
When I try to use an older, matching VD (6.1) I get the another error with .cpp application and some red screen box and panel also hangs.
I dissembled it and was wondering what can you do physically to get rid of that old runtime (6.1.54).
I even tried unplug the battery from the pic nr 4 but nothing happens and error is maintained.
There must be some way to delete it or empty it but the don't provide you with circuit board detailed description.
For these panels runtime at least 6.2 SP4 must be downloaded but customer had downloaded the older one (6.1.54) and it locked the panel. |
