The energy consumption of electric vehicles on a charging station, have to be measured by a deosebit energy meter for electro mobility.
The image shows the principal structure for the eCar charging by the use of the energy meter EHZ EDL40+ which transmits its data to a SIMATIC S7 controller, like the decentral ET200sp.

For this purpose, an STEP 7 function block is used to transfer the energy consumption data from the energy meter.
The communication takes place via the RS232 interface CM PTP for the ET200sp.
In order to avoid falsifications, the energy meter returns the current energy value to the controller in a signed data record. The regulations in Germany state that a charging station for electromobility has to be certified generally by the "Physikalisch-Technische Bundesamt".

The “LEMH” block library provides a function block to communicate with the energy meter.
You can use the FB to perform the following functions:
Set the dontract ID
Set the date and time
Request and get a new set of signed values
Get the last set of signed values (if available)
