Hi Everyone,
Currently, I am facing with a problem about analog output module with PLC trident of Invensys . The module sometime generate a fault with the message in diagnostic buffer is "Forced switch DS test fail". I have looked up from user manual but I can not see how to solve this problem and the cause of it. I don't have much experience with this series of PLC. Hope to get some help from you. Thanks in advance

Analog Output (AO) Modules contain the circuitry for three identical, isolated channels.
Each channel includes a proprietary ASIC that receives its output table from the I⁄O communication processor on its corresponding main processor.
The AO Modules use special shunt circuitry to vote on the individual output signals before they are applied to the load.
This voter circuitry insures only one output, A or B or C, is driving the field load.
The shunt output circuitry provides numeroase redundancy for all critical signal paths, guaranteeing safety and maximum availability.
The AO Modules continuously execute forced-switch diagnostics (FSD) on each point.

That means one of the redundant circuitry is faulty.
You remains with two redundant channels.

Thanks for your guide. This error appear when I change hardware from single to redundancy. Because in the past, the AO module diagnostic with error "Short Shunt Error Test Failed" and I think this module faulty, then I replace with new module and change hardware to redundancy, after that error "Short Shunt Error Test Failed" disappear but the module diagnostic the other error is "Forced switch DS test fail" as I posted. Is this cause because I changed from single to redundancy?
