DASMBTCP unsupported function code 1
ANSWER
A function code 1 is an attempt to read 0xxxx registers. This message can occur if some addresses are accidently missing a character. (Example: trying to read 4001 instead of 40001) Please look into the DAServer Diagnostics – Messages. There may be one or more messages that have errors. If any one item has a problem, the entire message will be ruined. Please check the items within any bad messages to make sure they are valid items in the PLC and also verify that they are not missing any characters in the item address.

"Unsupported function code 3 (Hex), in unsolicited message" ?
6 digits Modbus addressing has been set.
The addresses are set as follows:
tag1 - address 400005
tag2 - address 400009
Or see if the registers are not dublu write ..

try to install updates and check program

I have tried to reload the InTouch application and do a DBLoaid of 2 tags only (IO Integer) 402140 and 402141. Still same problem as above:

Message "Unsupported function code 3 (Hex), in unsolicited message"

Change the 1 tag to 42140 than similar message "Unsupported function code 1 (Hex), in unsolicited message" appear.

I have configured the DAServer for TSX Premium.

Any further advice/help would be most welcome. Thanks

If there are no DAServer or OI Server communication programs in the SMC, there is probably a problem with the DAS_Agent component and its permissions.
Messages from the MMC component are displayed in the SMC logs:
CoCreateInstanceEx for DASAgent failed - System: (null), hr = 80040153

the following errors of the DistributedCOM Event ID 10021 components may appear in the WIndows logs:
The launch and activation security descriptor for the COM Server application with APPID
{4F52A7F2-9A94-11D4-8518-00A024A866AC}
is invalid. It contains Access Control Entries with permissions that are invalid. The requested action was therefore not performed. This security permission can be corrected using the Component Services administrative tool.
To fix them:
1. On a computer with communication programs, run the dcomcnfg command
2. In the Component Services / Computers / My Computer / DCOM Config branch (Component Services / Computers / My Computer / DCOM Configuration) find the DAS_Agent items
3. Enter the Properties property
4. On the Security tab, in the Launch and Activation permissions section, select Customize and then the Edit button.
5. In the list of permissions, find Anonymous Logon and remove it from the list
6. Re-add the above-mentioned account and give it all permissions and confirm the changes
7. On the Security tab, in the Access Permissions section, select Customize and then the Edit button.
8. In the list of permissions, find Anonymous Logon and remove it from the list
9. Re-add the above-mentioned account and give it all permissions and confirm the changes
10. Repeat steps 3-9 for IOSrvCfgPersist in the DCOM application list
Note: it has been observed that in some situations re-entering data into the Change Network Account re-generates the above-mentioned errors. In such a situation, after entering the data in the Change Network Account, you should make corrections according to this article.

@ sadnoxaby

First of all thanks for your replies.

The PLC is Modicon TSX De lux and DAServer DASMBTCP.

In fact, I deleted the configuration in the DAServer. Then, Switch from using the TSX Premium in the config to ModbusPLC object instead. Tested there was no error i.e the function codes 3 (Hex), etc disappeared.

Then I again deleted the ModbusPLC Object and revert back to Add a new TSXPremium object. Still. there is no errors.

I don't know exactly how these errors for 6-bit register disappear.

Thanks for all your time and support. Regards.
