Lucian-Gabriel Turea is the only Olympic International Mathematics 2007 who remained in Romania, working in IT and this week has taught high school students who are now preparing to participate in the Olympics.
For Romanian users please read some interviews:

If you believe it's easy to solve maths for 9 years kid school then try to solve this:
Top 4 math problem class II..remeber Class II (8-9 years old kids)
1. A book costs as two pens and a fountain pen as five pens. How much was a pencil if a student has paid 22 lei and bought three pencils, five pens, two notebooks and two fountain pens, and if they had just bought the fountain pens would have paid 10 lei.
2. From a number M subtract half of the smallest natural number formed by two digits which has the multiplied digits equal with 4, and twice the product of the largest natural number formed by two digit which has the multiplied digits equal with 2 and get the largest number of two-digit normal numbers which has the multiplied digits equal with 0. What is this number M?
3. There are five shelves with books available in a small library . Knowing the number of books in the first and fifth shelf together is equal to the number of books in the second and fourth shelf together, and in the third shelf is a number of books equal to half of the complet number of books from all other shelves, how many books have been in the library in the beginning as if Elena pick a book from the third shelf and sees that
on that shelf remaining 9 books.
4. Alin, Cristian and Matthew have to solve 10 problems together. Each one solved at least two problems and a different number of problems than solved the other two guys. Alin has solved the lowest number of problems and Cristian largest number of problems. How many problems solved Matthew.
Enjoy......

chiorean,
daca ai simtit nevoia sa pui probleme de Clasa a II-a la rubrica OIM atunci am o intrebare:
Nu cumva au plecat copiii cu problemele nerezolvate la scoala? |

Dear Chiorean,
I'll write you in English for other users understanding.
As long as you are involved on preparing your kids with firsts classes I have an idea.
If the problems to solve for 9-10 years kids are difficult I suggest you to conceive a CD with games for learning programming on the early ages.
Simple instructions like
if(something happens)
then (do sometyhing)
elsif(do other things)
and so on...
will be an exceptional learning issue.
It is very important to learn kids on early ages to cope with programming concepts.
If you'll do such a media CD probably you'll be a pioneer on learning programming for kids.
Remember that a kid which learning to use concept programming will have a decisive advantage on learning programming on the first year college.
What about this challenge?

There are four and a half hours of competition each day.
The six issues were set by a team of university professors and country leaders from teams from many countries.
There were hundreds of problems proposed at the outset. The selection started on July 2-3, and in the first phase there were 50 problems, then 32, 28 and finally the six who will be in the competition.
