When try to open probably will take the version.
The problem is how to manage all these.
Here are some clues:
FactoryTalk ME Runtime (MER) Conversion Compatibility
https://rockwellautomation.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1059820
Problem
MER files created with FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition version 10.00 or later are unable to be restored in FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition version 9.00 and earlier.
Unable to restore 5.00, 5.10, and 6.00 runtime files on a 64-bit operating system.
Environment
FactoryTalk View Studio for Machine Edition versions 6.10, 7.00, 8.00, 8.10, 8.20, and 9.00
Solution
The patch below allows versions 9.00 and earlier to be able to restore an MER file created in 10.00. It also allows 5.00, 5.10, and 6.00 MER files created on a 32-bit OS to be restored on a 64-bit OS, no longer requiring the use of the Legacy Tag Database Conversion Utility.
