how to establish connection from user area ( Laptop Computer device )
to PLC ? Using Ethernet Cable Or what ?

If your PLC have PROFIBUS/MPI port and have adapter CP5711 you can connect via PROFIBUS by setting accordingly PC as below
START->Settings->Control Panel-> setPC/PG
If your PLC have PN also PN/DP you can connect via any ETHERNET cable
Both connections from Simatic Manager environment Step7 5.5 or TIA V11,12,13 |

If your PLC have PROFIBUS/MPI port and have adapter CP5711 you can connect via PROFIBUS by setting accordingly PC as below
START->Settings->Control Panel-> setPC/PG
Let me write you back which regarding the first concept you mentioned.
This line is very confusing ; please clear the concept !

Then which cable do you use and in which port you connect to your PC; USB, Etnernet ( Again ), Or what ? |
