I put this from howtogeek because someone ask again how to disable driver signature.
So in win 8.1 x32/x64 you do not have to use dseob.exe program for disabling Driver Signature Enforcement. You have to follow these steps:
How to Disable Driver Signature Verification on 64-Bit Windows 8.1 (So
That You Can Install Unsigned Drivers)
Step1- Press the Win + C keyboard combination to bring up the Bar, then click on the Settings Charm.
Hope now you understand that is not needed to use of dseob.exe in win 8.1 x32/x64.
Step2- Click on the Change PC settings link.
Step3- Switch over to the “Update & recovery” section.
Step4- Then click on the Recovery option on the left hand side.
Step5- Click on the “Restart now” button.
Step6- Once your Computer has rebooted you will need to choose the Troubleshoot option.
Step7- Then go into Advanced options
Step8- Then Startup Settings.
Step9- Since we are modifying boot time configuration settings, you will need to restart your Computer one last time.
Step10- Finally, you will have a list of startup settings that you can change. The one we are looking for is “Disable driver signature enforcement”.
To choose the setting, you will need to press the F7 key.
Now your PC will reboot and you will be able to install unsigned drivers without any error message |

| I did all correctly. If I don't disable driver signature, I don't even get the window for driver update. I got that window and the popup I posted. |

Disabling Driver Signature Verification on Windows 8.1, whether it's the 64-bit or 32-bit version, can be done to install unsigned drivers. Here's a step-by-step guide:
Note: Disabling driver signature verification can expose your system to potentially unsafe drivers. Proceed with caution and only install drivers from trusted sources.
For 64-bit Windows 8.1:
1. Access Advanced Startup Options:
- Go to the Start screen or press "Win + C" to open the Charms bar.
- Click on "Settings" and then "Change PC settings."
- In the PC settings, select "Update and recovery."
- Choose "Recovery" from the left pane.
- Under Advanced Startup, click "Restart now."
2. Disable Driver Signature Enforcement:
- When your computer restarts, you will be presented with a list of options.
- Select "Troubleshoot."
- Choose "Advanced options."
- Select "Startup Settings" and click "Restart."
- Once your computer restarts again, you will see a list of options.
- Press "F7" on your keyboard to select "Disable driver signature enforcement."
For 32-bit Windows 8.1:
The process is similar to the 64-bit version, but the key difference is how you access the Advanced Startup Options:
1. Access Advanced Startup Options:
- Press "Win + X" to open the Power User Menu.
- Select "Command Prompt (Admin)." This will open an elevated Command Prompt.
2. Disable Driver Signature Enforcement:
- In the Command Prompt, type the following command and press Enter:
```
bcdedit /set testsigning on
```
- You should see a message indicating that the operation was completed successfully.
- Restart your computer for the changes to take effect.
Please be cautious when installing unsigned drivers, as they may not have been verified for compatibility and security. Only use this method if you have a specific need for it and understand the potential risks involved. To play the Android and PC Games you can visit this site https://guysapk.com/ |
