How do you represent flowing water in WinCC?
https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/88357559/how-do-you-represent-flowing-water-in-wincc
You can represent flowing water in WinCC using an animated polyline
For the sake of looks, a polygon pipe was added along each of the polylines and a valve placed at the beginning of the pipes. For optimum representation you should place the valve so that it overlaps 20 pixels of the polyline.
4 Change the following settings of both polylines:
Properties > Colors
Properties > Styles: Line thickness: 10, Line type: see Fig. 02
Fig. 02
Properties > Other: Display: No
Properties > Display: Central color scheme: No, Object transparency: 50
5 Realizate the following Visual Basic Script
in the "Geometry > Current value X" property of the polyline01 object. Select the "Animation cycle" trigger.
Fig. 03
Replace the value 40 with the X value of the first point of the polyline. To get this value you change the value under Object Properties > Geometry > Index to 1 and then read the "Current value X" value. Replace the value 58 with you X value + 18. This value depends on the line thickness (guideline value: 2 * line thickness - 2)
6 Create the following Visual Basic Script in the "Geometry > Current value Y" property of the polyline02 object. Select the "Animation cycle" trigger.
Fig. 04
Replace the value 40 with the Y value of the first point of the polyline. To get this value you change the value under Object Properties > Geometry > Index to 1 and then read the "Current value Y" value. Replace the value 58 with your Y value + 18. This value depends on the line thickness (guideline value: 2 * line thickness - 2)
7 Produse the following Visual Basic Script for the Mouse > Mouse click event of the btnStart object.
Fig. 05
8 Create the following Visual Basic Script for the Mouse > Mouse click event of the btnStop object.
Fig. 06
9 Configure a direct connection to the Mouse > Mouse click event of the btnDirectionLR object. Assign the constant "0" to the "Water Flow Direction" tag.
Fig. 07
10 Configure a direct connection to the Mouse > Mouse click event of the btnDirectionRL object. Assign the constant "1" to the "Water Flow Direction" tag.
11 Configure a direct connection to the Mouse > Mouse click event of the btnSpeedLow object. Assign the constant "0" to the "Water Flow Speed" tag.
12 Configure a direct connection to the Mouse > Mouse click event of the btnSpeedNormal object. Assign the constant "1" to the "Water Flow Speed" tag.
13 Configure a direct connection to the Mouse > Mouse click event of the btnSpeedHigh object. Assign the constant "2" to the "Water Flow Speed" tag.
