In STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V13 SP1, how do you load project data from a device that has been configured with STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V12 SP1 or V13?

If, in STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V13 SP1, you load project data from a device that you have previously loaded into the device using a previous version of STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V1x, you must open "Compatibility Mode V1x".

Version 1
The download to the device was done with STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V13
In this case you must use "Compatibility Mode V13". However, this is only possible with an open STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V13 project.
For the case that you do not have a STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V13 project, we have included an empty STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V13 project for downloading

Download 1
The download contains the "compatibility_mode_V13_V13SP1" project.
Copy the "82169157_compatibility_mode_V13_V13SP1.zip" file into a separate directory and then start the file with a double-click. You can then use STEP 7 (TIA Portal) to open and process the extracted project data.

Note on STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V12 SP1
If, in STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V12 SP1, you have to do a program upload of a device programmed with STEP 7 (TIA Portal) V11 (a SIMATIC controller, for example), then you have to open "Compatibility Mode V11" for this. Information about this is available in Entry ID: 66027369.
