Hello everyone,
how to send a tag from somachine to HMI WEINTEK over ethernet/ip?
I think, I have a problem with setting in somachine and created global variable, over Symbol configuration I exported .xml file. After import to Weintek software, HMI still says to me "Device no response".
Do You have any advice please? |

WEINTEK type?
How many IP ports has Wintek?
What is IP for M241 and subnet?
What type of variable and address? |

Variable is Bool type and I do not know what address??

In HMI disable DHCP and put your own IP address and subnet 255.255.255.0
Put switch subnet 255.255.255.0
If not work try to connect directly because is possible your switch to be not manageable
Go to and download PLC Connection Guide 6.01
https://www.plcdirect.eu/products/operator-interfaces-hmi/graphic-touch-panels/product/mt8121xe
At page 1104 page from pdf you'll find How to Import Tags
Schneider SoMachine M Series (Ethernet)
Supported series: Schneider SoMachine M238/M241/M251/M258
What you see in Tag manager? |

Thank for reply,
It works, the error was in the subnet setup.
Now, I only import the variables to tag manager and it works great.
Very thank you for you help. |

For anyone that may concern.
I had problems with connecting a Schneider M241 (TM241CE24R) with a Weintek HMI.
Although I had correct setting in Weintek Easybuilder (Driver Schneider SoMachine M Series UDP 1740,1742 etc.) for an unknown reason it didn't seem to work no matter how I tried.
Changing the driver from SoMachine M Series to MODBUS TCP/IP (default port 502 etc.) it did work like a charm!!!!! The only difference is that I couldn't iport directly the variables (.xml) but had to build them one by one in the Weintek project instead (eg. I0 of M241 was %ID0 in Weintek etc.) |
