Follow this rule only if you are using WinXP SP3:
Find in Registry....
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\SubSystems\Windows
Default Registry Value
The default data for this registry value will look something like this (all on one line):
| Quote: |
%SystemRoot%\system32\csrss.exe
ObjectDirectory=\WindowsSharedSection=1024,3072,512
Windows=On SubSystemType=WindowsServerDll=basesrv,1 ServerDll=winsrv:UserServerDllInitialization,3Serv erDll=winsrv:ConServerDllInitialization,2 ProfileControl=OffMaxRequestThreads=16 |
Try to modify the SharedSection value (highlighted in the registry key above with RED) by increasing its third value (highlighted in RED) from 512 to 1024.
After the registry is applied, reboot...

After I open the Biz Bike_ME sample program and click on Runtime Secruity or Tag or Alarm Setting", I'll get "Unable to set process session user" error follow by "AOA: AOAInitialize failed" error.

1. Try to reinstall FactoryTalk. Usually everything worked fine after that .
2. Check about mistakes in your Tag folder.
3. Check also this link

No need to reinstall.
I register the lib & dll.
Sol: at c:\windows\system32, enter the following command.
1) regsvr32 Activeds.dll
2) regtlib Activeds.tlb
