For excel 2007 citect scada 7.20

I try now to do it using DDERead but it does not work also. Do i need to configure something before the use of DDE?
I just want to read one value in excel and display it the scada.

It is very easy if you use VBA from Citect.
You can Read/Write Excel file
Search the help, and you will find some tips.
