The text editor Geany provides basic features of an integrated development environment (IDE).
Geany is an alternative for those who are not using heavy weights such as Emacs and Eclipse but need tools such as extensible syntax highlighting, auto completion, function and browser plug-in interface.
The editor supports for including C, C + +, Java, Python, Perl, PHP and HTML.

To be executable, Geany requires Gtk +, which is included in the full installer for Windows already.
Who needs more Windows developer tools can additionally benefit from MinGW.
