Hi all,
I have bought a cable for GE Fanuc PLC 90-30 model "IC690USB901" at https://www.plccable.com/ge-fanuc-usb-s ... -30-90-70/.
Unfortunately, I can't make it work neither with Proficy Machine Edition 8.6 nor VersaPro (both run on Windows 7 - 32 bit). I hooked it to power supply SNP port & set communication 19200 baud, 8 bit, 1 stop bit, odds parity. When I tried to connect with Proficy then I observed both adapter LED and PLC PS port LED blinking but connection never success. Nothing happened when I used VersaPro.
I opened cable at 15DB side then I found following wiring:
- Pin 10 ---> brown wire
- Pin 11 - 13 ---> red wire
- Pin 12 ---> yellow wire
I read GE Fanuc PLC series 90 communication manual then found below wiring table:
- Pin 7 ---> GND
- Pin 10 ---> RD (A')
- Pin 11 ---> RD (B')
- Pin 12 ---> SD (A)
- Pin 13 ---> SD (B)
Is there something wrong with cable IC690USB901 ?

| Thanks for your reply, I believe your posted cable is Serial to SNP, nevertheless cable IC690USB901 has CH340 chipset serial to RS485. I asked plccable support then got answer that they also didn't have wiring diagram or drawing but they said it may be software or PLC CPU firmware issue. |
