Try to download and install firstly FTSP 2.50 as standalone then install separately FTView you want to install and then you can downgrade..
Did you use VMWare..??? |

The same problem I encountered while installing the software AB 2.
The first install RSLogix 5000 V20 (FTSP 2.5) subsequently install FTVIEW 61 (FTSP 2.4)
at the time of install this software FTV61 ask FTSP 24, so I had to uninstall FSTP2.5.
problems arise during installation FSTP 24 that can not continue on the current progress "back up factory talk directory"
also occur during installation FTSP21. if it has been installed FTSP with higher version
I use win7 OS and Win 2008 server R2 |

| The trick is to install FTV 6.1 first, then install Logix5000 v20. Although the FTSP has been upgraded by v20, FTV won't complain about it. |
