Hi,
I have a situation that I want to update the firmware of one CPU 1211.
The strange thing is that my CPU is detected as 6ES7 211-1AE31-0XB0, but I don't find on Siemens pages firmware upgrade for this CPU.
The closest firmware update found is for 6ES7211-1AE40-0XB0.
Should I use this available firmware update for my CPU?
Also the update is not accessible for direct download.

6ES7211-1AE31-0XB0 has been stopped for further development since 2014.
As long as this is not a product subject for further developments there are not reasons to update firmware.
