Festo Software Tool FST 4.10
The following essential functions are supported:
• Simple user interface
• Immediate starting of program creation is possible without complex declarations
• Variable creation is possible online during programming
• Statement list and ladder diagram programming languages
• Thanks to an integrated step structure, the statement list programming language simplifies programming of sequential processes
• Program creation/modification of existing programs in controllers
and maintenance of the machine controller possible via a network connection (Ethernet)
• Extremely simply creation of communication tables (strings)
• Simple support of the Profibus- DP and AS-Interface fieldbus
systems offered by Festo by means of corresponding configuration
tools and drivers
• Integrated configuration tool (FED Designer) for parameter
definition andprogramming of the FED display and operating units
• Optimum support of the creation of a dcentralised communication
system via Ethernet with the aid of the EasyIP protocol

Is there anything newer (and better) for Festo FEC controllers ?
Nice and compact, it would be a pitty if FST is the best what you can get.
