Hi
I have replaced all the files. Changed the Host ID to the MAC address of the PC.
Restarted the PC. But still FTview is in grace period.
Did i missed anything?
Please suggest |

Only problem with the license file is that it has an expiration of September 2017 for FT View SE and it was licensed some time in 2016 (probably September). So you need to modify your system BIOS time to fall somewhere in that time period. The Studio 5000 stuff is fine, just not the FT View license.
Easy enough to do with Virtualbox but there are a couple special commands to do it. Basically you have to disable the automatic date/time stuff buried in Guest Additions then move the BIOS back to October 2016 and you're good to go. I'm on Linux so my commands are probably different from Windows users. You can google this stuff pretty easy.
On a "naked" machine (who runs those???) you'd just hit the F key to go into your BIOS and do it there, although I think Windows runs NTP somehow so it might change times on you regardless. Easiest way of course is a VM. |

I've installed V8.2 and activated and then installed V9 but didn't succeeded activation!
Please share solution to activate FT View V9 |

FTVSE 9.0 Solution(similar should apply to the version 31 patch thats out there):
Studio 5000 - Logix Designer V29.00/V30.00

1. install, use 2022007546 as serial number
2. stop FTA service (or you won't be able to replace files in step 3.)
- open Task Manager (right-click on TaskBar and "Start TaskManager")
- in Services tab locate "FactoryTalk Activation Service" right-click and "Stop Service"
3. replace existing files with provided ones (on a 32bit system the paths are "C:\Program Files\.")
- "flexsvr.exe" in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockwell Software\FactoryTalk Activation"
- "FTACommon.dll" in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Rockwell"
4. copy the license "ftasystem.lic" in "C:\Users\Public Documents\Rockwell Automation\Activations"
5. start FTA service, as in step 2. but select "Start Service" instead or just reboot
*you can play with whatever license files you want, i included one i found elsewhere but feel free to use whatever you want/find
**was only tested it on Win7x64 but should be fine on others, if anything give your feedback
