Patch FTView SE 6.10.00 (CPR9 SR4) and RSLinx 2.58 (CPR 9 SR4).
REMEMBER TO ALWAYS SAVE A COPY OF THE FILE THAT YOUR HEX EDITING SO THAT IF THINGS GO WRONG YOU'D HAVE A BACKUP!!!!
FTView SE 6.10.00 (CPR9 SR3) How-To:
0. Stop the FTView Service: Start > Programs > Administrator Tools > Services > Rockwell Application Services.
If this service is not stopped, then you will have problems saving the RSves32.dll after the Hex edit.
1. Install FTView 6.10.00 (CPR9 SR3) and configure MS SQL.
Use MS SQL 2005 SP3 Enterprise Edition, which was already configured with sa priveledged rights. This part is very important if you want a smooth install. If you have any questions about configuring MS SQL, I suggest reading a how-to online.
2. Once FTView is installed, open your Hex Editor and search for your RSves32.dll file. rdoman2 has a great illustration of what to look for.
File > Open > C:\Program Files\Common Files\Rockwell\RSves32.dll. Once RSves32.dll file is open in your Hex Editor perform the following:
Search > Find > 34 02.
Remember to use the 'Find Again Down/Up' procedures to locate the right parameters to edit. I have 1 location in the Fxxxx location that I could edit: FC321. If I clicked 'Find Again Down' one more time I'd be in the '19D8CB' range (which is too far down), and if I didn't click 'Find Again Down' enough, I'd be in the Dxxx range (which isn't down far enough). That said, I only have the one Fxxx paramenter which needs to be edited.
3. Change the 34 02 to 30 90 then save the .dll. File > Save > then exit the Hex Editor. |

Sorry for relate this again, but I really couldn't activate with this strategy.
I did all steps like you wrote, and after few days FTView (ME or SE) entered in grace period.
Because this I'm creating new VirtualMachines and reinstalling then to continue designing, but I would like activate right.
PS: I could activate the new RSLinx using this method correctly.

Something goes wrong ...otherwise it should works....
Try to update links to license from FTActivation... check that you've done things right, open your FactoryTalk Activation Manager > Advanced > Refresh Server.
Then click the 'Manage Activations' tab and then 'Refresh Activations'. If all went well, you should now have RSV.STUDIO and RSVME.STUDIO as an Available Activation.
...do yo see "RSV.STUDIO" in the FactoryTalk Activation Manager licenses panel. ???
If you don't, then you didn't put the correct information in your license file.
If you do see RSV.STUDIO in the FactoryTalk Activation Manager, then you didn't edit your RSves32.dll correctly.....
After all ....If it doesn't work ..try this alternative script to renew the grace period indefinitely....

| neto.87, I use the întocmai activation proceedure that is stated above, and it works great. I seriously think that your doing something wrong, did you patch the FT activation manager file? If so, then PM me and I'll walk you through it. |

Yes, I installed and is working.
If you are having issues installing it, put the FTView folder in the desktop.

I'm having some trouble downloading FTView SE 6.10
It consists of 22 parts uploaded on DepositFiles and I must wait 45 mins between downloads
Could someone be kind enough to re-upload FTView SE on another host (maybe a single unzipped file) ?
4Shared, DepositFiles or Mediafire should work fine

Hi, guys.
After a long time away from this installations (university and work consuming my time), I started to try again and successfully installed all softwares I wanted.
This time I started by RSLogix 5000 v20 (more needed now). My last try (that I came here asking), I started installing FTView and it was now my last software installed.
1-Now I started installing FTView by SE version (that installs ME too and I didn't know). I did this because I only see here instruction to active SE but (as sad) this also installs ME. GREAT!!!
2-Some softwares I used the old evrsi keys (RSEmulate, RSLogix 5 and 500)
3-Was REALLY necessary to comment the initial part of that file ".lic" (the part of the evrsi and/or activation). ONLY after this, my SoftLogix 5800 worked (and probabily some others softwares installed after this).
But, I have a question: I see here only instruction on how to activate RS Networx Ethernet. These instructions will work fot DeviceNet version? I only need this software now and didn't install because don't know if will....

Are there .dpd file to activate Factory Talk ME 6.1000?
Is using hexedit the only way to activate Factory talk ME 6.100? |

I really don't know how these .dpd works but I activated my FTView ME/SE with the hexedit.
At my first attempts I had a lot of problems but I think could be my order of activations, my installation or because I was trying ME before SE. Now I installed SE (that comes with ME) and all worked fine. |

Hi, I used it to activate this ME version. But I really didn't try to install ME alone. I installed SE version (that installs ME too) and so used this activation and.. done!!
On my last attempts I had no success and don't know why, but I remember that was starting by installing FTView and first by ME (SE after). |
