How can you use the control program to evaluate to which connection box the KTP Mobile Panel is connected?

https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109479251/how-can-you-use-the-control-program-to-evaluate-to-which-connection-box-the-ktp-mobile-panel-is-connected-?dti=0&pnid=13613&lc=en-WW

The figure shows a system overview. System 1 includes two connection boxes. System 2 includes one connection box. The set "Connection box ID" can be entered via this page. This enables you to adjust the "Connection box ID" subsequently without having to make any changes in the STEP 7 project.

Example project 1
The configuration has been created using STEP 7 Professional and WinCC Comfort.
A SIMATIC S7-1500F is used as CPU.

Example project 2
The configuration has been created using STEP 7 V5.5 (SIMATIC Manager) and WinCC Comfort.
A SIMATIC S7-317F is used as CPU.

In the WinCC V13 project, a connection to the CPU within SIMATIC Manager is established by initializing the device proxy PLC.

Description of the FB parameters
For each connection box used, an "FB200" is required for evaluating the "Connection box ID".
The FB number used can be adapted as desired.
- In_PlcClockMemory: clock memory 1Hz.
The "Box ID" value read out will not be reset automatically after disconnecting the panel from the connection box. For this reason, the "Box ID" value read out will be internally overwritten with "zero" periodically once per second. The current value of the "Box ID" will be output via a second tag.
- In_ComparisonBoxID: Default setting of the "Box ID"
The FB compares the default value to the "Connection box ID" value read out. If the two values match, the result will be output as "output signal". The comparison value can be specified directly as a decimal value at the block or via a tag (the tag is assigned to a “I/O field” in an HMI screen) as shown in this example.
-InOut_HMI_PeriodicReadBoxID:
The "Box ID" value read out will be read out into this tag and will be overwritten with "zero" again.
-Out_PLC_ClockMemory: Forwarding the PLC clock memory to the HMI
The signal of the PLC clock memory is forwarded 1:1 to the HMI via the tag. At the HMI, this tag is used to execute the "SetTag" system function in case of a value change.
-Out_KTP_Connected: Using this tag outputs the "connection status"
If the specified "Box ID" matches the "Connection box ID" read out, a "1 signal" is output. This "status" then can be used for further evaluation in your PLC program.
-Out_Current_BoxID: Output of the "Connection box ID" currently read out.
If the "comparison value" is specified directly at the FB, you thus have the option to read out the stored value at the HMI operator panel.
Note
The enclosed library file includes a preconfigured DB (DB200, "ConnectionBox"). This one contains the template for the IN/OUT tags used at FB200.
Description of the HMI configuration
The three following tags are required for evaluation.
-Internal_HMI_BoxID
In the HMI editor under "Runtime settings > General" and then in the "Identification" section, the tag is assigned to the "Variable box ID" parameter.
-PeriodicReadBoxID (the tag is linked to the "FB200")
Into this tag, the "Connecion box ID" value read out is written periodically by the "Internal_HMI_BoxID" tag.
-PLC_ClockMemory (the tag is linked to the "FB200")
Under "Properties > Events > Change value", the "SetTag" system function is used. As parameter, the "Internal_HMI_BoxID" tag transfers the
"Connection box ID" value read out to the "PeriodicReadBoxID" tag.

Note
To ensure that the function will be executed, select under "Properties > Properties > Settings" the acquisition mode "Cyclic continuous" and the acquisition cycle "<= 500ms".
