The Aerodynamic Performance Department is a part of the Loads, Aerodynamics & Controls (LAC) Group in Vestas Technology R&D. LAC ensures system integration by optimal combination of loads, aerodynamics and control for existing and future Vestas wind turbines. The Aerodynamic Performance Department is responsible for optimization of the aerodynamic shape of the blades of the wind turbine taking into account the aerodynamic efficiency, power production, noise emissions, structural loading and cost.
