Electrical Controls Engineer $55-75k South Carolina – Permanent Opportunity

The Electrical Controls Engineer is responsible for Designing, Programing, Installing, and Commissioning PLC based controls for conveyor systems, and to when necessary, manage the resources performing these function for larger projects where a team is involved.
Responsibilities include;
• Design Control panels and Develop PLC programs for conveyor systems.
• Develop and program PLC programs to integrate production machines to conveying systems.
• EsteticÄƒ the integration of inspection and coding devices to production equipment.
• Stil wiring interconnections between machines and conveyors including wire way and cable tray runs.
• Effectively manage electrical project budgets to deliver the project on time and on budget.
• Prepare contractor bid documents for electrical installation of equipment.
• Commission in the field, conveyor control systems, Control networks and HMI’s.
• Supervise the work of electrical contractors involved in installing packaging lines.
• Test, tune, and validate installed and commissioned conveyor systems and integrated equipment.

Education, Experience and Behavioral Requirements:
• Electrical Engineering Degree, or equivalent experience, and 3-5 years of experience designing and programming PLC’s based control systems
• Expertise in PLC programming, Rockwell SLC and Control logics products
• Experience in laying out control systems for machinery
• Must be able to obtain a passport, and be willing to spend up to 40% percent of available time in the field. The majority of travel is in the U.S., occurs in concentrated periods. (For example, home for 3 months, out on the road for 2-6 weeks). Usually home every weekend.
