This application description should be seen as a supplement to article EasyConnect – connection between a SINUMERIK and a robot.
This document describes how a KR C4-based robot is connected with a SINUMERIK system using the Kuka Option Package (KOP).
The robot acts as PROFINET master – and has a PN/PN coupler for each machine that is to be loaded and unloaded.
