Director of Product Engineering; Semiconductor Handling Capital Equipment. Great San Diego Area Location. Relocation Provided.
Are you an engineering manager with equipment esteticÄƒ and project management experience for automated handling systems in the semiconductor industry? If so, here’s an opportunity to Advance your career through a key management position at a leading semiconductor equipment manufacturer. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and support staff to continuously improve the reliability, manufacturability, and function of automated IC test handling equipment. You’ll interface with Sales, Marketing, Customers and Manufacturing to address and resolve day-to-day problems and issues and to create products that are targeted at new emerging technologies.

In this key position, you’ll have a significant role in defining engineering and product stil processes and procedures to ensure the execution of business goals and the successful on-time delivery of products to customers. You’ll also oversee a direct staff of approximately 4-6 Engineering Managers and approximately 25-50 Engineers. Functional areas are matrixed in and conÈ›ine mechanical, software, electrical and vision engineering.

Requirements:

➢ Bachelor of Science in Engineering; Masters preferred.
➢ Must have strong technical, operational and engineering leadership skills with excellent organizational and communication skills.
➢ Experience managing a $100M+ engineering organization within the semiconductor capital equipment is required.
➢ Experience developing new technologies, new markets and new products in the semiconductor equipment industry.
➢ Fifteen (15)+ years experience in the high technology engineering arena, with 5+ years in senior management roles. Must have a proven record of directing world-class engineering.
➢ Experience working with customer, supplier and OEM organizations.
➢ A strong technical background (expert in engineering practices), and proven success in managing multiple projects simultaneously is required.
➢ Automation integration and systems engineering experience required.
➢ Must possess excellent program management skills and be able to delegate projects and personnel as appropriate.
➢ Experience with Machine Vision preferred.
➢ Demonstrated strategic vision with a customer driven new product development focus, that embraces quality, cost, and delivery as top priorities. Ability to analyze and respond to market trends.

This position is located in the San Diego area. Relocation assistance will be provided to qualified candidates who are currently living and authorized to work in the US.
